Legendary reputations don't come easily. The FJ Cruiser started over 60 years ago, when its predecessor; then called the BJ, ventured up MT. Fuji and accomplished something no other vehicle in history had. The BJ Land Crusier made it to checkpoint 6 and from then on Toyota had an emergence of Land Cruisers as an off road icon.

25 degree grades, frame bending boulders and dizzying drop-offs. This is the sort of challenges you think only specialized vehicles were designed for. But after 6 decades of off-road experience, the FJ Cruiser can handle them all. The available 6-speed manual transmission features a 2-speed transfer case as well as an electronic controlled locking rear differential, to help ensure the power goes where it's needed. The independent front suspension system delivers nearly 8 inches of wheel travel while the 4-link rear suspension with lateral rod provides more than 9 inches.

It's no surprise a vehicle like the FJ Cruiser is able to reach trail's end in one piece. With it's Vehicle Stability control, which adjusts engine power and braking makes the FJ an ideal vehicle for pavement. You may find gloating makes the drive home shorter. the 2012 Toyota FJ Land Cruiser. Moving Forward.

Together they open wide making it easier to clean out dust and debris each time you emerge from one of nature's obstacle courses.
